After getting engaged, there is a lot of planning: selecting the venue, wedding attire, invitations, vendors, guests, etc. It's a very exciting time. More vendors are surfacing which makes it overwhelming. Many companies will send out contract photographers you never met. This can be awkward and lacks that personal touch on the day of your wedding. I will meet with you, answer any questions, document your wedding, and oversee and edit each image taken. With SAR studios you have one source of contact from beginning to end. SAR studios has been documenting weddings via photography and videography since 1988.

On your wedding day, please stop and take a look around the room, at all your friends and family who are there for you both. Take it all in and enjoy. Your day goes by too fast and will be over before you know it! Photos and video are there for the parts you weren't able to see.
Our shooting style is based on a relaxed laid-back approach that focuses on the day and events surrounding it. We become the silent journalistic observer, if you will. It is our goal to capture the details and moments of the day to tell your story in an artistic and candid manner. We capture images as an observer would see them, without relying on sterile poses. Just relax and enjoy your wedding day and we’ll do the rest. After the blur of the day is over you’ll have many images to relive your wedding day for years to come, with future generations.
Although the candid / journalistic approach is preferred by many, we do step outside the quiet observer role to capture formal portraits / group shots when appropriate. There are many traditional elements that certainly play a part in the overall complete photography coverage such as altar photos or backdrop photos at the reception. We work closely with our couples from beginning to end to ensure a balanced coverage on your special day.
Each wedding is unique, as is our approach in documenting and presenting your wedding images. Our pricing reflects time spent photographing your event, graphics / album design and all post processing work done on all your images and online gallery.
Our Artistic Process – Photography consists of high resolution image capture utilizing the latest in Canon full frame 35mm digital cameras. Shooting in a RAW (digital negative) format allows us to maintain the highest quality possible from time of capture to processing in the “digital darkroom”. RAW files are digital negatives in the purest form. During post processing, we digitally develop all RAW images by adjusting and correcting many aspects of each image individually to create your master proof set. From the RAW edited state, all images are exported to high resolution jpg files, which are sent to our lab in Los Angeles, where your online gallery is hosted and linked to our site. This gallery is used for online viewing and ordering of prints. A 2nd copy of this master disc with all images is mailed to you, copyright free, and a 3rd is kept on file with us.
